hotcosplaychicks:
just got this in my email. I want all to see it.
"I am very sorry about this, we get a lot of our pictures through submissions and while we try to encourage our submitters to add credits they rarely do and often finding the source of the content is difficult. We did not make this cropped version of the image. (I honestly don’t have time to spend cropping). I would love to replace it with your original watermarked image if you’d be willing to send in that link.I apologize again we have nothing to gain by not pointing out the amazing tale - HCC"
ok. so. wow. that was very nice. I’m going to edit this post, then, because it serves no purpose for me to be negative when such a nice explanation was sent to me almost immediately….

HERE WE GO AGAIN.
hotcosplaychicks recently posted an image I posted on April 10, 2011. Any one who has followed me for a while knows this image. I’ve had magazine publishers ask me about this image. Here’s the link:
http://americancomicon.tumblr.com/post/4502466800/simone-dragon-con-atlanta-2010
This image is the property of MV Partsch, the photographer. It is from my tumblr site, American Comicon. This image has already gotten over 2028 notes.
The Unbelievably sweet SIMONE is the subject matter of the image. The Amazing Simone. The unbelievably sweet and nice and talented Simone. SIMONE and her art of steampunk costuming are the center and point of this image.
So, basically, there should be THREE points of credit associated with this image: Model, Photographer, Tumblr-site.
It has recently been posted on hotcosplaychicks without giving any credit to me, my site, or the AMAZING model, Simone. Plus, my name has mostly been cropped out.
I asked hotcosplaychicks to remove the image.
I’ve already posted their reply up top, but I’ll repost it again. It deserves to be repeated.

so. ok. wow.
that was like unbelievably cool. I mean.. seriously.
:)
So. Thank you very very very much to  hotcosplaychicks.
(I love a happy ending!)

(and just for the record, this was my response to him i sent in an email)
"wow. Thank you very much. I see you’ve already changed the post and added the credit. Thank you. I have edited the post on my site and included your email to me, if that’s ok, and thanked you at the end. (i actually re-posted your note twice, to make sure people see it). I hope that’s ok. If anything like this happens again in the future, I’ll understand I think a little better now how things work and just send you a note so hopefully you can fix it. No worries. Sorry I was huffy at first, but after 5 years of doing this, I figured out a long time ago that if i don’t protect the images I’m screwed, and if I’m not forcefull about it, the post never changes and a few hundred notes go by before something gets done. So, again, I’m sorry about my tempered note to you, and thank you so very much for your efforts and response. Nice workin’ with ya! :)"

THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN BY MV PARTSCH of American Comicon (AMERICANCOMICON.TUMBLR.COM). It has Been CROPPED to remove MY Credit. The Model’s Name is Simone. She is unbelievably nice and deserves to always have her name credited with this photo.
Here is the link to my original post from April 10, 2011 (1,984 Notes):   http://tmblr.co/ZAjYIy4CNZ3m
If you would like to reblog this picture.. Please go to my original link.. The picture quality is much better and the Model and Photographer receive their proper credit. Thanks.
And to picapixels, or whoever cropped off my credit, that is Copyright Violation. I will be contacting tumblr to report it. Thank you.
